BT Broadband offer

BT is currently offering up to an £50 reward card thrown in with selected broadband only and bundle deals for new customers. Offers like this don't come along often at BT, so take advantage while you can!

Limited-time BT Broadband deals

These deals are only for a limited period, so just be aware that if you dilly-dally they'll be gone and you may not see a similar deal for many months.

BT Fibre 1

£50 reward card | Free set-up

BT's Fibre 1 package feels like it's been around since the dawn of time. But honestly, it's no slouch. It delivers 50Mbps, which is fast enough to do anything you need it to do. Downloads will obviously take longer than faster packages though, obviously, and you may quickly start hitting ceilings when multiple members of your household are all trying to do things online at the same time. Still, it's available to pretty much everyone, which is more than you can say for BT's faster Full Fibre packages.

BT Full Fibre 100

£50 reward card | free set-up

Full Fibre 100, oddly, actually offers 150Mbps. You'd think BT would have changed the name by now, since the actual speed you get has crept up steadily for a while now, and at this point it's just badly named. Anyhow, 150Mbps is more than enough for most households, but being a Full Fibre package it does mean that your chances of being able to get it where you live are significantly diminished. If you're not sure, clock the deal anyway and BT will search your postcode and tell you if you can get it or not.

BT Full Fibre 500

£50 reward card | Free set-up

Finally, we have BT's Full Fibre 500, which does actually offer 500Mbps. This is the package we can recommend to households full of gamers, since it offers very fast downloads for new games and updates, while allowing you to apportion off enough spare bandwidth to ensure the rest of the house doesn't experience a broadband drought. Like Full Fibre 100, you'll need to be sure you can get Full Fibre where you live, which you can find out by clicking the link in the deal and entering your postcode.

BT Broadband package features

Every provider does a few things to differentiate itself from the rest of the provider out there. Here's a snapshot of exclusive features you'll only get from BT. Some of these features come free, while others you'll have to pay a little extra for.

Standard with BT Broadband

  • Smart Hub 2 – Comes with advanced Wi-Fi controls for managing internet access and screen time
  • Stay Fast Guarantee – Ensures consistent broadband speeds with compensation if BT cannot restore the promised speed
  • UK-based customer support – 24/7 expert support from teams based in the UK and Ireland

Optional add-ons

  • BT Hybrid Connect – Provides backup via EE’s 4G network for unbreakable broadband: £7 per month
  • Complete Wi-Fi – Extends Wi-Fi coverage with additional discs beyond the first three: £10 per month
BT Complete WiFi

The BT Smart Hub 2

All BT Broadband deals come with BT's excellent second-generation Smart Hub, the Smart Hub 2. The only possible downside with BT's router is that it doesn't come with Wi-Fi 6 (the fastest available Wi-Fi). Other than that, it's very, very good. If for some reason you do need Wi-Fi 6, they are broadly only supplied with Full Fibre packages (EE Broadband, for example), and in many cases are only supplied with the fastest speeds (Virgin Media Gig1, Vodafone Pro II packages and so on). Sky also offers a Wi-Fi 6 router with its Sky Wi-Fi Max add-on, for an extra few quid a month on top of its usual package price – well worth it in our opinion.

How to claim your BT rewards

Finally, there are some things you should know about claiming your rewards, because BT doesn't simply dish them out automatically in some cases. Here's what you need to know.

BT Reward cards

BT Reward Cards don’t arrive automatically — you’ll need to claim yours within a specific timeframe. If you forget, you’ll miss out, so it’s important to act promptly. The claim process is simple, but the deadlines and delivery method depend on when your broadband is installed.

  • Visit the BT Reward Card claim page within 3 months of placing your order on bt.com
  • Log in with your BT ID and submit your details to claim your reward
  • If your broadband is installed before 31 October, the card will be posted to your installation address
  • If your broadband is installed on or after 1 November, your card will be delivered to the email address used to sign up
  • Once issued, you must activate the card within 3 months using the instructions provided

The BT Reward Card is issued by GVS Prepaid Ltd and operates like a prepaid Mastercard. It can be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted, but cannot be replaced if lost or unclaimed. Reward cards may also be referred to as BT Reward Cards — they’re the same thing.
