Sky provides broadband services to approximately 20% of UK properties, making it the third largest player in the country. But it didn't get there just by offering the lowest prices. It's considered to be a premium provider, with some of the best customer services in the industry (although sometimes tricky to reach), along with high quality equipment and, of course, the option to add a bewildering array of TV services. Essentially, nobody can really offer what Sky can. However, particularly when it comes to tempting new customers to its broadband-only services, it also regularly offers some quite excellent rewards, and that's what we're going to cover here.
So, if straightforward cheap prices aren't Sky's usual way of attracting new customers, what do they offer? The answer is gift cards. And some of the most generous in the business. But more recently, they've also been seriously competitive with their monthly pricing, although they're chopping and changing things on a weekly basis (usually on a Friday morning, if you want to be specific). That means, if you time it right, making the switch to Sky can make a lot of sense. You could bag an extremely good price along with a chunky gift card, which you can essentially spend on anything. There's a bit of a faff involved in claiming the cards (we'll go into that in more detail below), but we think it's worth it.
So, that said, let's see what Sky's current batch of rewards can offer...
While this is currently Sky's second fastest broadband package, we think it's their number one for value. That's considering it's relatively great value price at per month along with a seriously generous £80 gift card. Despite the fact that with 500Mbps it 'only' provides a little over half the speeds offered by the range-topping Gigafast package, in the real world that's going to be more than adequate no matter how big your household. Like all Sky home broadband packages, it's offered with pay-as-you-go calls, which is increasingly unusual. This is an excellent all round deal, and we're happy to recommend it.

At £22 per month, Sky's Full Fibre 75 is basically cheap as chips. And offering just 75Mbps, you might think it's cheap for a reason. But if you don't have a large household, or even live alone, then we think this is still perfectly adequate for many people. Plus, with the current £50 gift card, we'd say it's one very much worth thinking about.
There is another reason we're featuring this – if you're not in an area able to access the newer FTTP broadband, you can't get this, or any of the deals we're featuring here. But you will be able to get Sky's Broadband Superfast, which is essentially the same package, at the same price, just a little slower. And it always comes with the same gift card. So, either way – Full Fibre 75 or Superfast – you can't lose. They're both great bargains right now, and are essentially available to everyone.

This is Sky's top-of-the-range, none-more-fast broadband package. It's the supersize Big Kahuna Burger. And it really is the cornerstone of any nutritious broadband package (with apolgies to any Tarrantino fans). While there are faster services available from some other providers, at a limited number of addresses, the 900Mbps downloads offered by Sky's Gigafast broadband mean it's certainly one of the fastest widely available services in the UK. And at £42 per month over a 24 month contract, with a whopping £100 gift card, we think this is, especially when you consider Sky's premium status, a pretty great deal. If you need those kinds of speeds! Because it's seriously, seriously fast. Try our postcode availability checker to see if this is available where you live.

Sky tends to reserve many of its best rewards for its broadband-only packages, and right now that's especially true as they're not offering anything extra on their broadband and TV bundles whatsoever. We'd expect that to change soon, but in the meantime, here's a selection of their regular packages. There may not be any extra gift cards thrown in, but they're still some of the best bundles out there!
When signing up for a broadband package that includes a gift card, there are a few things to watch out for. First, don’t expect the card to arrive right away — it can take up to 120 days after your installation date, not the day you place the order. In fact, we'd advise you to forget about it entirely and treat it as a pleasant surprise when it does finally arrive. We've known of customers who wanted an update every day, and we're not convinced it's worth the stress. Also, remember that if you cancel your order, your gift card will be cancelled too. Sky will send detailed instructions on how to claim your reward once your purchase is confirmed.
Another thing to bear in mind is that there's an obligation on the customer to actually claim the reward. It won't just take care of itself. It's a bit of a pain, but you do have to jump through a few, very tiny, hoops. Because of this, a lot of people forget to claim, so try to make sure that's not you as it's virtually free money!
Just a word on that too – it's not actual money. It'll be a pre-loaded card which you can spend at various outlets. For example, it could be Marks and Spencer, Sainsbury's, Tesco or even Amazon. An exception to this is a pre-paid Mastercard – you can use that almost anywhere, but you have to try and make sure you don't leave much credit on it unspent.
Finally, please be aware that the administration of these cards is actually done by a third party. In this case a company called GiftCard. They're highly reputable, and have been doing this for many years, so you shouldn't experience any issues. But it's worth being aware that it won't actually be Sky you'll be corresponding with.
Sky is only one of many providers that, on occasion offer rewards. They can be gift cards of course, but are also often cashback and sometimes bill credit offers. To see the currently available offers, try visiting our broadband comparison page, and use our filters to select packages with 'Deals with rewards and offers' to see what's on offer right now. It changes frequently – sometimes every day!
