Virgin Media broadband rewards: Up to £135 bill credit

Virgin Media broadband router

Virgin Media broadband isn't available to every home in the UK. In fact, as of June 2025 it's estimated only about 65% of UK homes can access it. But Virgin are ramping up their efforts and have stated that they expect to bring that figure up to 80% in 2026. If you're in that fortunate majority, then choosing a package from Virgin Media can be the simplest way to access some of the very fastest broadband in the UK right now. Plus, they're not above offering some tempting cashback or bill credit deals for new customers. So let's have a look at what we reckon are the best Virgin Media broadband deals with a reward for making the jump.

Virgin Media broadband with rewards

The way Virgin Media offers its new customer rewards is a little different to most providers, and we think all the better for it. Generally, you'll see broadband companies dangling juicy reward cards or even free gifts like TVs or smart speakers (all of which you need to go through an awkward claims procedure to actually get your hands on), but not so Virgin Media. With their most popular broadband packages at least, Virgin generally sticks to offering a 'bill credit' – which basically means a small pile of cash that'll be set aside to cover your first few bills, meaning you'll pay nothing for three or four months. Whilst Virgin avoid making statements like '3 months free', that's often the reality.

So, given that, why don't Virgin just take that money and use it to make the basic price cheaper? We have no idea! But the effective cost is the same at the end of the day, so we'd recommend not looking the bill-credit gift horse in the mouth and have a good look at the excellent value some of these deals can offer.

Just to add that rarely – and usually only with their broadband and TV bundles – they also offer a choice of these bill credits or an actual physical free gift. That's usually something electronic, which in recent times has taken the form of a flatscreen TV, an Amazon Echo or even a video doorbell. So the choice, when they have these offers, will be yours.

You won't find the current set of bill credits or gift offers on their own website, though. These offers are usually exclusive to us here at BestBroadbandDeals.co.uk, so in order to take advantage you'll likely have to click through to the Virgin Media deal from here.

You can see all the deals available from Virgin Media today, including those bill credit and (when available) gift offers, on our Virgin Media broadband deals comparison page. But, aside from that here's a brief summary of what we think is best right now, and why.

M500 Fibre Broadband

£135 Bill Credit, no upfront cost

We've said it before, and I expect we will again, but we think this might be the sweet spot of Virgin Media's broadband only packages. And right now, for a very limited period, Virgin Media are offering the biggest bill credit we've ever seen. A whopping £135 Bill Credit. Meaning that with a monthly cost of £32.99 per month, you'll not pay anything at all until the fifth month of your contract. Even without the credit, it's not much more than their lower speed packages, but for many households it's going to provide speeds so much faster that it's worth every extra penny. You'll see download speeds of 516Mbps or more and uploads at about 52Mbps. And those numbers – if you're coming from a conventional FTTC connection – might be ten times what you're used to. But you'll still be saving a packet compared to Virgin's highest speed services which can now reach 2Gbps (and to be honest, nobody really needs that). This just might be the biggest broadband bargain on the market right now.

M125 Fibre Broadband

£105 Bill Credit, no upfront cost

This is effectively Virgin Media's lowest speed broadband these days. They do sometimes offer their old 50Mbps package, but very rarely now. And rightly so we think, because we think that for many, many people Virgin Media's M125 Fibre Broadband is simply the best value broadband there is today. Especially when you consider that the addition of their £105 Bill Credit brings the effective monthly cost down to not much over £22 per month over the whole contract (if you also take into account the relatively small price rises each April). Which, for an average speed of 132Mbps, we think represents an exceptional deal which offers speeds that are perfectly adequate for most households. Also, like all their packages at the moment, Virgin continue to waive their regular set-up fee, which until relatively recently was a whopping £35. By default, and like all their broadband-only packages, there's no phone line with this, but you can pay extra to add one on if you feel that's important.

M250 Fibre Broadband

£80 Bill Credit, no upfront cost

We like to think of this as the big brother of Virgin Media's most popular M125 package, but also quite a bit more. You'll get faster download and uploads (264Mbps and 25Mbps respectively), meaning double the download speed. Which will suit larger households and is especially advisable if anyone there is a gamer who takes it seriously. Again, you won't get a phone line here, but you can add it as you go. As with the lower speed deal, you'll get a tasty, if slightly lower £80 Bill Credit, so basically no bills at all for the first few months.

Gig1 Fibre Broadband

£70 Bill Credit, no upfront cost

For most potential Virgin Media customers, this is Virgin Media's top-of-the-range broadband. Technically, there is a level above this in the form of their Gig2 package (offering unnecessarily fast speeds of 2Gbps), but very few properties can access that. And of course, it's much more expensive. We think if you want absolutely mind-bendingly fast broadband, then Gig1 really will deliver the goods. You'll see downloads at around 1.1Gbps, with uploads at 104Mbps. That's more, maybe much more than most households will need, and that will probably remain true well into the future. It's never cheap, but if you consider it on a pound-for-each-1Mbps basis, it's actually pretty good value at £36.99 per month. And right now, there's a £70 Bill Credit, meaning you'll get the first month free, with a further reduction on month two. It's rare for Virgin Media to offer a discount on this, so we think it's a great opportunity to switch – if you really need the speed.

M350 Fibre Broadband

£60 Bill Credit, no upfront cost

For really fast broadband, short of going slightly overboard and ordering an M500 (516Mbps) or Gig1 deal (1.1Gbps), Virgin Media's M350 is in that comfy spot where you have epically fast speeds capable of literally anything you throw at it (362Mbps average), without the associated high cost of a flagship product. You'll also see much faster upload speeds (36Mbps average), there's no upfront cost, and currently there's a £60 Bill Credit. So again, more than enough credit to pay the bill for a few months.

Virgin Media Broadband and TV bundles

Much like the Virgin Media broadband-only deals above, there are occasional bill credits, free gifts and reduced monthly cost offers when you choose a broadband and TV bundle. Right now though, Virgin's focus is on price reductions for its broadband-only customers, meaning there aren't any particularly great offers we can draw your attention to. Stay tuned though, as that may change in the near future. Meanwhile, here's a selection of their regular priced bundles...

Biggest Combo TV Bundle

Right now, Virgin Media's Biggest Combo TV Bundle is, we believe, excellent value. It's £78.99 a month, comes with a huge £200 bill credit (or you can choose a 43" HiSense TV) and there are no no up-front or installation costs. For that you'll see excellent download speeds of over 500Mbps, with uploads over 50Mbps, and more than 210 TV channels (including Sky Cinema and Sky Sports options). There's also Sky Entertainment and a Netflix subscription thrown in. All told, that's a lot for the money and probably the best value we're aware of right now when it comes to broadband and TV packages.

Bigger Combo Bundle + Movies

£150 Bill Credit or Eufy doorbell & security camera

At £60.99 per month, this is the cheapest of Virgin Media's current broadband and TV bundle special offers. Yet it comes with the same choice of a £150 bill credit or Eufy video doorbell as their more expensive bundles. So that bill credit would mean you'll pay nothing until month three, and even that will be close to half price. You'll have perfectly respectable broadband with downloads of around 132Mbps and access to over 200 TV channels, including Sky Cinema HD. Just like the more pricy packages, you'll have the Virgin Media WiFi Hub and 360 TV box, plus all-inclusive weekend calls to UK landlines. And again, you can opt for the Eufy doorbell & security camera bundle instead of a bill credit.

How do Virgin Media rewards work?

Virgin Media doesn't offer reward cards or traditional cashback at the time of writing. Instead it offers bill credit amounts – exclusive to BestBroadbandDeals.co.uk. Unlike reward cards you won't need to remember to claim these, they will simply be applied to your future bill.

Some of these packages offer a gift alternative to the bill credit. You will need to choose these during the sign-up process if you would rather have the gift or gifts.
