Broadband deals – what to look out for

A great broadband deal isn’t just about speed. Well, it's partly about that, obviously, but it’s also about getting the right balance of price, rewards and features. Many of the best deals include extras like bill credits or gift cards that offer real, meaningful savings.

The best deals tend to combine fast (or fast enough) speeds, no setup costs, and limited-time rewards, whether that’s cashback, credit on your bill, or vouchers to spend elsewhere. But there are other things to watch for too:

  • No upfront cost – All the best deals include free setup and no activation or delivery fees
  • Fast, reliable speeds – Full Fibre is very reliable, with packages now typically start around 100Mbps and can reach 1Gbps or more. Choose Full Fibre if you can get it
  • Reward cards and bill credits – Look for offers that include bill credit, prepaid cards or e-gift vouchers for an easy, instant saving
  • Fixed-price period – A guaranteed monthly rate for 12–24 months means protection from unexpected price rises mid-contract
  • Flexible switching options – Some providers now cover your exit fees if you leave your old provider early in the form of switching credit
  • Reasonable contract length – 24-month terms are common, but some providers offer shorter options if you prefer not tobe tied in so long
