Best broadband deals

We've had a good rummage and these are the best broadband deals right now, no matter what speed you're after. Many come with tempting extras – from big bill credits to free months and reward cards worth up to £150 – but our headliner this week earns the top-spot by virtue of a simply astonishing price. Let's take a closer look.

1. Three 5G Unlimited Home Broadband

£14 per month • Zero upfront cost

Three 5G unlimited home broadband is delivered over Three’s 5G network, with average download speeds around 150Mbps where available. It comes on a 24-month contract with no upfront cost and includes next-day delivery. It’s designed as a simple plug-in alternative to fixed-line broadband, with no phone line or Full Fibre required.

Three are currently offering their excellent unlimited mobile broadband at the incredibly low price of £14 per month. This is literally as cheap as it gets, and is frankly very unusual. That said, Three does change prices quite frequently, so don't hang about if you're in the market for mobile broadband. We think this is the best value broadband of any kind in the UK right now.

2. Virgin Media M250 Fibre Broadband

£17.99 per month • No upfront cost

The second tier in Virgin Media’s selection of very fast fibre broadband deals, we reckon the 264Mb downloads will suit households where several people could be streaming or gaming at the same time.

There's no cashback, bill credit or gift card with this right now. But what there is is a very low price – one of the lowest priced fixed-line broadband packages available right now. In fact, it's priced at the same level as the much slower M125 package. However, Virgin have been very gradually increasing some of their broadband-only prices recently, so this offer isn't likely to be around for very long.

3. Virgin Media M500 Fibre Broadband

£20.99 per month • No upfront cost

There's no cashback, bill credit or gift card with this right now. But what there is is a quite remarkably low price. Not likely to be offered for very long. Mid-tier in their range, but still incredibly quick broadband with average downloads of 516Mbps (and a guaranteed to be at least 258Mbps), we think this is a wonderful compromise.

4. Plusnet Full Fibre 900

£150 Reward Card • £28.99 per month • No upfront cost

Plusnet's top-of-the-range full fibre package. Expect average downloads of 900Mbps (even the guaranteed minimum is an incredible 500Mbps) from a package which for most will be one of the very fastest available.

5. BT Full Fibre 900

£150 reward card • £31.99 per month • No upfront cost

BT's top-of-the-line broadband package, Full Fibre 900 should deliver 900Mbps downloads, as you'd expect, with 700Mbps of that guaranteed. That's up there with the very fastest any national provider can offer. Blisteringly fast. Currently available with one of the highest value free gifts BT generally offers, this deal really isn't likely to be around for long.

6. Virgin Media Gig1 Fibre Broadband

£21.99 per month • Zero upfront cost

Usually, Virgin Media offer a bill credit but right now they've simplified things and just slashed the price of their market leading M125 package. Not likely to be around for long. Virgin Media’s top-of-the-line broadband package. It’s quite simply the fastest widely available broadband in the UK with blistering average download speeds of 1130Mbps and they're expanding their coverage all the time.

7. Sky Full Fibre 150

£80 gift card • £23 per month • Zero upfront cost

Sky's Full Fibre 150 broadband package provides, as you'd expect, 145Mbps average download speeds, with 100Mbps guaranteed. Sky offer much faster packages, but we think this package offers enough for most households.

Broadband deals – what to look out for

A great broadband deal isn’t just about speed. Well, it's partly about that, obviously, but it’s also about getting the right balance of price, rewards and features. Many of the best deals include extras like bill credits or gift cards that offer real, meaningful savings.

The best deals tend to combine fast (or fast enough) speeds, no setup costs, and limited-time rewards, whether that’s cashback, credit on your bill, or vouchers to spend elsewhere. But there are other things to watch for too:

  • No upfront cost – All the best deals include free setup and no activation or delivery fees
  • Fast, reliable speeds – Full Fibre is very reliable, with packages now typically start around 100Mbps and can reach 1Gbps or more. Choose Full Fibre if you can get it
  • Reward cards and bill credits – Look for offers that include bill credit, prepaid cards or e-gift vouchers for an easy, instant saving
  • Fixed-price period – A guaranteed monthly rate for 12–24 months means protection from unexpected price rises mid-contract
  • Flexible switching options – Some providers now cover your exit fees if you leave your old provider early in the form of switching credit
  • Reasonable contract length – 24-month terms are common, but some providers offer shorter options if you prefer not tobe tied in so long
