Best broadband, TV and phone deals

Most providers will allow you to add on a phone line when you're actually at the checkout, and indeed keep your old number. Sky is the only provider that routinely includes a phone line as part of the bundle, along with TV and broadband, but to keep things competitive here, we've included the best deals with providers who deliver broadband and TV and also allow you to add a phone line if you need one.

Broadband, TV and phone deals – what to look out for

The best bundles keep things simple: clear pricing, no unnecessary extras and a TV bundle that genuinely suits how and what you watch. It’s also worth checking how easy it is to customise your bundle, especially if you only want certain channels (like Sky Atlantic) and need a phone line.

Many providers now sell broadband without a phone line as standard, but you can usually add one during checkout if you need it. Just remember that on Full Fibre packages the line will be digital rather than traditional copper, which means some older equipment – such as pendant alarms, fax machines or certain healthcare devices – may not be compatible without an adapter. Here's what to watch out for:

  • Choice of TV channels – Make sure the TV element actually includes what you want to watch, whether that’s premium films, drama, sport or on-demand apps
  • Add-on phone line options – Even if not included by default, most providers let you add a phone line. Check whether it’s standard (like Sky), digital, and what call packages are available
  • No hidden setup costs – Some bundles include installation or activation fees, so it’s worth checking the small print
  • Fast, dependable broadband – TV streaming and multiple devices do best on Full Fibre, which offers more stable speeds and fewer slowdowns than copper-based broadband
  • Contract length – TV bundles are usually 18–24 months unless you're getting TV on its own from Sky, which has a one-month rolling option – only commit to a contract length you’re comfortable with
  • Rewards and discounts – Bundles often come with bill credit, reward cards and so on. Take advantage of them

Old analogue phone lines versus digital – what's the difference?

If you’re upgrading your broadband, especially to Full Fibre, there’s a good chance your old analogue landline will be replaced with a digital one. The main difference is that analogue lines used the copper telephone network, while digital lines run over your broadband connection. Calls work much the same, but the phone plugs into your router instead of the wall socket. It won't matter to most people.

Where it does matter is with older equipment. Some devices that relied on the old copper line – such as telecare pendants, certain alarm systems, fax machines or payment terminals – may not work properly on a digital line without an adapter or a compatible replacement. If you use anything like that, it’s worth checking compatibility before you switch.
